CENTIEL UK Ltd, the UK subsidiary of Swiss-based Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) manufacturer, CENTIEL SA, will exhibit its leading-edge UPS solutions at Data Centre World to be held at Excel in London, 21-22 March on stand: D1035. CENTIEL will, for the first time in the UK, demonstrate: CumulusPower its three-phase, modular UPS system which offers class leading “9 nines” system availability and very low total cost of ownership plus: PremiumTower, a three phase standalone UPS for critical loads of between 10kW and 60kW.
Michael Brooks, managing director of CENTIEL UK Ltd confirms: “Availability continues to be the major concern for data center managers and those working in other environments requiring clean, continuous power. Unlike traditional multi-module systems, the CumulusPower technology combines a unique Intelligent Module Technology (IMT), with a fault-tolerant parallel Distributed Active Redundant Architecture (DARA), to offer industry leading availability of 99.9999999%.
“This excellence in system availability is achieved through fully independent and self-isolating intelligent modules – each with individual power units, intelligence (CPU and communication logic), static bypass, control, display and battery,” continues Brooks. “Also, in the unlikely event of a module failure, the module can be quickly and safely swapped without transferring the load to raw mains. Furthermore, the solution has been designed to reduce the total cost of ownership through low losses: the high double conversion efficiency of 97% at the module level means it is currently the best solution available to protect data centre infrastructure as its configuration also reduces downtime risk, avoiding costly errors as well as increasing energy efficiency.”
At Data Centre World, CENTIEL will also showcase the PremiumTower which offers very similar reliability and efficiency performance as CumulusPower, in a stand-alone, parallelable version.
Brooks concludes: “We are really excited about presenting our world-leading UPS solutions at Data Centre World this year, and we are looking forward to discussing how we can help our clients around the world take their power protection requirements up to the next level.”
